Music Department "Conductors' Notes"

Dr. Nancy Roldan from the Peabody Conservatory of Music taught a master class on Friday, June 27th, in SHA's Auditorium. Mary Maroney and Liz Shea performed and then received instruction.

Dr. Roldan is an inspiring musician who has performed solo and chamber music throughout the world and has taught at the Peabody Conservatory for over thirty years.

Darien Lake Music Fest

On Friday, May 30th, 2008, several of SHA's music students participated in the Music Fest at Darien Lake, a competition in which the competing ensembles received ratings, awards, and most importantly, constructive comments regarding their performances. The Chamber Singers ranked second in the Chamber Choir division.
