Academics

Educating young women for lives of critical thought, responsibility, compassion, and service has been the focus of SHA for 130 years. Needless to say, we have a long history of providing a safe and caring learning environment where young women are encouraged to learn, engage, serve, lead and grow. As when we first opened our doors in 1877, we remain committed to ensuring that our students have the necessary tools for leading purposeful and successful lives and our faculty and staff work hard to ensure that the needs of each student are met academically, socially and spiritually.
