I am pleased to welcome you to Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart as you consider options for high school. The core of our community is a student body of nearly 400 young women representing more than 26 school districts who come from more than 45 Catholic, private, public and charter schools. Whether a student comes to SHA by herself or with friends, each girl feels welcomed and quickly becomes a part of the SHA “sisterhood.” The friendships that she develops over four years will last a lifetime.
I invite you to explore our website to discover what Sacred Heart offers. Browse the academic pages to learn about the enriching college preparatory curriculum,
International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and
signature programming, explore our extensive
athletic and
extracurricular offerings, our
beautiful and well-equipped campus, the rich 140-year
history and long
traditions within an inclusive
Franciscan community, as well as the advantage of an all-girls education.
The admissions section provides the information needed to enroll at Sacred Heart Academy as either an incoming freshwoman or as a transfer student. You will find important admissions dates for the current academic year, information about the application process and entrance examination, learn how to see the Academy in action by shadowing for a day, and gather tuition, financial aid and scholarship information. In addition, we offer several workshops and camps throughout the year for middle school girls.
Of course, nothing compares to the experience of being here at Sacred Heart, and so I encourage you to contact the Admissions Office to arrange a tour. Or, if you prefer, you can take a
virtual tour and see some of our building's signature spaces. Either way, watch this
video to hear from current students about the advice they have for 8th grade girls or transfer students considering SHA.
We are currently accepting 9th grade applications for Fall 2025 and transfer students on a rolling basis. Start your journey at SHA by calling me at 834-2101 ext. 311 or emailing
[email protected].
Again, welcome, and I look forward to seeing you on campus.
